What did I learn this week?

I learned more about the interaction between partnerships and their corporate partners when it comes to taxable income and how income flows to the corporate partners.

In the future, how could I use what I learned this week to do better?

I will be able to use this information to better understand how partnership taxes work for future tax projects and consultations.

How well did I communicate with other professionals this week? What did I do well? What could I have done better?

While I was on the phone with one of my teammates and a municipal tax agency, I was there to take notes while my teammate asked the questions. I didn't realize this at first so I was just listening along. When my teammate asked me about what the agency said, I was taken aback because I wasn't expecting it. In future calls like this, I should be more proactive in noting important information. Otherwise, I have started rehearsing for a presentation on upcoming pass-through entity tax changes and I have been told that I am doing a good job communicating the topic.
